The People’s Studio Practicum (PsP) is thrilled to share with you the incredible work we are doing. Our mission to co-create a more just and equitable society is grounded in our commitment to bridge education, civic engagement, and resources through diverse community partnerships. PsP is more than just an organization; it is a dynamic infrastructure that fosters informed, community-led social, cultural, and economic growth.

Our work is deeply rooted in collaboration. Through partnerships with local leaders and organizations, PsP activates ongoing research, design, exhibitions, and public engagement activities that shine a light on the social and spatial conditions impacting our communities. By focusing on values like belonging, equity, and justice, we offer everyone an opportunity to learn, envision, and actively shape a collective future that we can all be proud of.

One of our most impactful initiatives involves partnering with local community stewards to activate local public studio spaces. These spaces are vibrant hubs of creativity and collaboration, each centered around PsP’s three core elements: purpose, focus, and pathways. With a deep emphasis on regional conditions, these spaces are tailored to meet the unique needs of the communities they serve, fostering meaningful connections and sustainable development.

Another exciting initiative is This Land Project (TLP). TLP works with diverse partners to incubate shared value land models. Beginning at the scale of a neighborhood block, shared value land models aim to balance economic growth, environmental sustainability, and spatial equity. These models focus on creating value that benefits multiple stakeholders, including community members, landowners, developers, municipalities, and the environment.
